Quantum Healing Hypnosis Technique® (QHHT®) was developed by Dolores Cannon, a hypnotherapist, researcher, and author whose work began in the late 1960s. Through decades of working with clients in deep states of hypnosis, Dolores became increasingly interested in the unusual experiences, memories, and information that emerged during her sessions.
Her work eventually focused on what is often called the somnambulistic state, a naturally occurring state of consciousness associated with the transition between waking and sleep. Rather than simply guiding clients into relaxation, Dolores began exploring what could emerge when people were allowed to remain in this deeper state and follow their experiences wherever they led.
Over time, clients reported experiences that appeared to involve other lifetimes, unfamiliar places, expanded states of awareness, and perspectives far beyond their everyday conscious thinking. Dolores also began communicating with what she came to call the Subconscious, not simply the psychological subconscious mind, but a deeper aspect of the individual that she believed could offer insight, guidance, and a broader understanding of their experiences.
From decades of this work, Dolores developed the method that became QHHT®, eventually teaching the technique to practitioners around the world. Her research also became the foundation for numerous books exploring consciousness, reincarnation, spirituality, and the extraordinary experiences reported by her clients.
Curious to hear it from Dolores herself? In the video below, she explains what she meant by “the Subconscious” and the role it plays within QHHT®.
